Waiver of Moral Rights (Canada)
Waiver of Moral Rights Agreement for use in all provinces except Quebec.
Moral rights are different from the economic rights often discussed in intellectual property agreements, licenses and releases (e.g. right to use, reproduce, etc.). Moral rights focus more on the rights associated with the creator's reputation and honour (e.g. right to credit as the creator, right to decide when to make a work public, etc.). This Waiver is designed so that an employer can ensure that it will have control of the moral rights of a work, without having to worry about an employee later claiming to have moral rights in it.
